General DNWs: No porn, please, even if there's a ship involved. I'd prefer to not receive radically AU fic (coffeeshops, werewolf- and vampire- or whatever-AUs, etc) and the like). And for the love of little hamsters, no rape/non-con/dubcon, issuefic, omegaverse/a/b/o. Issuefic is an especial point, I'm here for entertainment and not someone's personal lecture.

General Likes: I lean towards gen; I have relatively few pairings. Action scenes are awesome but not required X3 Most of the fandoms listed below lend themselves nicely to action- or battle-oriented subjects, I cheerfully admit. I'll also admit up front, I find combat scenes great fun and enjoy combats with gouts of blood -- or the equivalent -- flying. getting into a character's head, or something that elaborates on how a setting works, are also grand.

Fandom: Transformers G1

Requested Media Types: Fanfiction
DNW Media Types: Art, vid, graphics, mixes

Be it otherwaise Marvel, Sunbow/Takara or Dreamwave et al, "G1" means no IDW material, please and thank you. IDW is not G1 and does some damned weird/different things to characters, especially characters I'm interested in.

Character: Skids
Prompts: Absentminded daydreamer anthropologist with a tendency to lose track of where he's driving, what's not to love? Skids burying himself in fieldwork or academics (humans are odd; or, in pre-Earth DW say, studying other xenospecies) and building hypothetical castles of theory is fun -- so is, in a different way, exploring his attempts to apply his fields of study when he's re-tasked as a tactician even though he doesn't really want to go to war.

Or there's always that moment when Wheeljack decided Skids needed a whole new braking system in an attempt to save him from himself ;3

Character: Prowl
Prompts: Sometimes being an analyst is not all it's cracked up to be. I'd love to see Prowl getting himself tied up in the small legalistic details of a situation (whether strategic or moral) and then hauling himself up off the horns as it were -- his own logical thought patterns often work against his altruistic impulses or at least cause complications. No wonder he has problems with Grimlock's callous pragmatism in so many G1 iterations ;3

If going with Dreamwave, a look into how he coped with the destruction of his home city, or what he thought of the dry archivist he needed to deliver a lecture about heart to, could be intriguing.

Character: Ricochet (and Nightstick)
Prompts: Headstrong, hot-tempered, fueled by JUSTICE ... and on binary-bonded life support. Ricochet is a killer marksman, even before being binary-bonded, and one has to wonder what he did with himself before the war. Militia? Hunter? Security or police officer? Or maybe something completely unexpected?

I can't imagine him being a good stealth sniper with that colour scheme, which lends itself to potentially hilarious scenarios where he has to try ~

And he and Bluestreak are good friends despite Bluestreak's nonstop nattering and Ricochet's distinct lack of patience and social skills. There's a story to be found there.

Fandom: Sailor Moon (manga)

Requested Media Types: Fanfiction
DNW Media Types: Art, vid, graphics, mixes

I'm quite serious with the manga-specificity here; it's my preferred version by far.

I don't mind hints of romantic relationships but I am not at all a fan of Crystal's pair-the-spares mentality in first season or the ... whatever that was with Saphir in the first anime, especially the latter. Mamoru and Usagi are a given of course ;3 but I would prefer the emphasis be on Mamoru's own self and concerns.

Character: Zoisite
Prompts: The third King didn't react well to the deaths of Jadeite and Nephrite, and got himself called out on it (or at least needled that he'd best do better or the protags would get him as well). That couldn't have been easy on the nerves, even for someone brainwashed into being on Team Evil[tm]. Plans, ranting, emotional outbursts -- or emotional lockdowns -- and crazed research; any take on how Zoisite readied for his grab at the ring would be interesting. Deeper looks into the loss of the others is also intriguing.

Character: Saphir
Prompts: Ouch. Talk about a bundle of bitterness and issues. Saphir comes across as someone who wants none of the crazy -- but does want his brother to get his head out of own arse -- and then of course everything goes to hell anyway. Just when does he get thoroughly 'tainted' by Wiseman (since he doesn't start off with the signature earrings and only gets them at the very end), and why? Was it willing, out of bitterness? Something else?

What kind of lunacy could have happened if Saphir had decided to strike out at Crystal Tokyo first, if only to try to get rid of the source of his brother's obsession?

Character: Mamoru Chiba
Prompts: You know, one almost has to wonder whether striking out to a foreign university was Mamoru's way of trying to escape the rollercoaster for a bit -- or maybe, at least, to recover from the weird as hell infection/rot/whatever you like to call it that culminated in rediscovering the Golden Crystal. Really any take on his thought processes and recovery from all that is worth contemplating. Medical school surely looked simple in comparison!

On a lighter(?) note, one does wonder what the poor sod thought of things after the first time his dead former court companions decided to haunt him for a chat and words of support ~

Fandom: Mega man X / Rockman X

Just to toss this out: I am of the opinion that X7 is a damned abomination as far as characterization goes and am not interested in its time-frame, events or fallout. Since Capcom was happy to drop that shite themselves (even while keeping Axl) and have folks act like they never took a collective brainjacking in Command Mission and X8, I'm quite comfortable in stating this preference.

Character: Zero
Prompts: Zero, really, has Seen Some Shit[tm]. Does the Zero Nightmare haunt him? What about Colonel -- or his own brush with the clarity of (deranged) purpose that the Eurasia Incident dropped on him? Does he even remember that? Can he? In more mundane interests, I can only imagine how Zero files his reports at the end of the day *grins* Hunter bureaucracy at work?

Yes, I'm the one who likes to toy with maneater!Zero and I'm not ashamed to say so ;3
So I'm taking this opportunity to toss out a request for Zero mauling someone in the line of duty, or the aftermath of said mauling, or just Zero and the Zero Nightmare tearing each other apart, I am all for that 83 If you want to indulge in some bloody, ichor-dripping violence, possibly with guilt attached, by all means feel free ~

Character: Gate
Prompts: Gentlefolks, meet our resident mad scientist. Gate is bitter, hurting, and might be already plagued by terrors about his creation's deaths to go along with the bitterness even before finding shards of Zero's core and becoming infected with the Maverick virus. What spurs him on to bring his children back -- and then create the Zero Nightmare, mad harbinger of this new virus?

And yet, he's not completely lost. He regains enough of himself to feel remorse in the end and to warn of his attempt to revive Sigma; what flashed through his mind then? And -- if Alia did restore him -- would he thank her for it?

Character: Dynamo
Prompts: Mercenary, eerily 'playful' Dynamo, popped up again after his role in the Eurasia Incident to plague X and Zero while they contend with Gate and his horde. During Eurasia he pledged unwavering loyalty to Sigma, but afterwards he's obsessed with becoming stronger -- via the twisted power of the Nightmare Souls -- even while still playing 'games' with the Hunters who never manage to actually overpower him. So where did he get that new obsession, and how did he get the notion the Nightmare Souls were the answer?

What's driving him? Or did drive him? And just where did he come from ...?

A Song From Long Ago

Mamoru set the box of stones on the piano with a muted click. He couldn't explain exactly why he felt the need to have them nearby for this; inspiration, perhaps. He had had a long heart-to-heart with the souls therein not long ago, which had brought this whole idea on.

Ah, well.

Settling himself at the bench, a music composition book and pencil at hand, he began to play. Hesitantly, carefully, he worked out a version of a song which had not been heard since the fall of the Earth Kingdom, except in his dreams.

He ran into trouble about two-thirds through.

After several failed attempts to set the section right, he ran his hands through his hair and sighed, deeply, frustrated. Just as he was about the place his fingers over the keys to try again, a polite cough made him lift his gaze.

Zoisite's image floated, translucent, over his namesake stone. He gave Mamoru a sympathetic half-smile.

"For this part, you need to play F Major with your right hand and switch the melody to your left, my Prince."

Mamoru stared at him a moment as memories of shared music practices swept through him. Then he blinked them back to ponder later, and smiled in return.

"You took up piano in this life, as well?"

Zoisite glanced at the piece of Jadeite at his side before nodding, an expression of pain passing over his features.

Mamoru decided it would be better to ask at a later date, drawing back his attention with a soft, "I appreciate your help."

Zoisite turned back to him and smiled again, bowing.

They returned to the music.

Zero stared for a moment before grabbing the capsule figure off his desk. He rarely ever used his desk and he didn't even collect capsule figures, but they just kept appearing. It was X's fault; the first one had come from him as a bit of a joke. But now the figures just kept showing up whenever he was out on missions or patrols.

They were sort of interesting, of course, and Zero did keep them. Someone was putting a lot of effort into getting them to him, after all.

And he only needed three more to complete the set.

It was a gruesome way to stay close to those he cared for. Zoisite could acknowledge as much when he looked at their damaged bodies, waiting should he perchance find some way to save them.

"My plan will be perfect," he told them. Jadeite and Nephrite had been wise and strong, but he must be wiser and stronger. "I will wreak vengeance for you," he promised.

He looked upon their bodies to remind himself that he must not fail. Only by succeeding could he save them. But he did not touch them. With one touch, he could destroy them forever.

Thank you! You introduced me to a new fandom and I like it much better than the bit of anime I've caught.
